“Rick, everyone’s infected and your wife’s pregnant.”
Perhaps Jenner could have gotten all that out whispering in Rick’s ear, back in the end of season one. It is now common knowledge heading into season 3.
The raid of the house and conversion of dog food and an actual pet into dinner shows that these people are hungry, desperate, and growing adjusted to this world. And ready to accept that there is no place for pets.
Ooh, the prison…
West Georgia Correctional Facility…the site of some early, instant zombie killing gratification. Weapons are used in effective ways involving a chain link fence. The group shows steel and ingenuity, and collective teamwork, with Rick accepting, with weary resignation, the MOST dangerous job. Do main male characters instantly become despicable if they’re caught leading from the rear? Ricks got a baby on the way. Send Glenn.
Ponchos and massages…
One night off and we’re talking about hand to hand combat with walkers. “I’m still here.” Are you, Rick?
Lori is still Lori…
The group uses phalanx style fighting technique… One guy hits, moves, lets the other guy behind him finish the job. Riot shield! Gasmask zombie! Flying kick! Face off!!!
Welcome back senseless violence. Next thing you know they’ll be back hacking up walkers for cologne…
MICHONNE
Andrea has a gratitude problem, to put it lightly.
Is it enough just to have two armless walkers nearby to ward off the herd?
Lori expresses very rational fears. Never seen her see this clearly. Her despair about Rick is understandable, being with child and all.
Need more sword action…
HERSHEL NOOOO
“Holy shit” is right. Did anyone seriously believe (aside from our plucky heroes) that this prison was empty? And gratuitous hacking aside, could this have been Ricks dumbest plan ever?
See you next week!
