In the fall of ‘99 Hip And Trippy Productions was formed by the PHJC, his brother Lonely Boy, and a close friend to become more active in electronic community and represent a younger generation of artists. The first event was called Nocturnal Bliss and took place in October of 99' providing many hours of entertainment to about 400 attendees. Hip and Trippy was somewhat of an underdog, coming into the scene close to it's peak and not particularly getting much support from the older crowd of DJs and promoters. None the less Hip And Trippy began hosting monthly events at cafes as well as club events over the next few years trying to showcase new talent that appeared to just be slipping through the cracks of New Mexico. It was a great time for the company, not only getting the opportunity to see many new artists perform, but also finding a new community and furthering exploration into the genre of Electronic Music.

These days Hip And Trippy does not through all to many events, perhaps a handfull a year or so. Most of the time invested these days is into production, fine tuning other skills such as mixing, and mixed media promotion. There are plans in the future to possibly launch an Indie label, press some vinyl, and once again support those talented people out there who should be heard. The only thing that is certain is that we are not going anywhere, so stay tuned for much more music, clothing, genre mashing, and much more.
