Three Funny Sci-Fi Shows to Watch in April – Amazon, FX, and Fox

fun things to watch in april

Here are three fun sci-fi shows to watch in April (while we redesign).

The Tick! – Season 2

Yes, one of your favorite zany comic-book characters is back for some wacky hijinks. I was initially concerned it wouldn’t live up to the fun of the original 1990’s series, but I’m glad I was wrong. Find it here on Amazon Prime.

Synopsis: “In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with no superpowers comes to realize his city is owned by a super villain. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.” -IMDB.

The Orville – Season 2

Back with some great social commentary and a surprisingly serious and yet fun tone. I was never a huge fan of Seth MacFarlane before, but this is a homerun. So if you are looking for something to fill that campy sci-fi hole you’re desiring, this is definitely it.  Find it here on Fox.

Synopsis: “Set 400 years in the future, the show follows the adventures of the Orville, a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth’s interstellar Fleet. Facing cosmic challenges from without and within, this motley crew of space explorers will boldly go where no comedic drama has gone before.”-IMDB.

What We Do in The Shadows – Season 1

The best for last: This is an absolute solid jump-off and riff on the original film. I can’t recommend it more! The cast is fantastic, even including Matt Berry, one of my all-time favorites. Find it here on FX.

Synopsis: “A look into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of four vampires who’ve lived together for over 100 years, in Staten Island.”-IMDB.fun things to watch in april
